Rembrandt and Maisie at Stallion Showcase GB

Brendon Stud put on a great show at Addington Manor EC, Stallion Showcase GB.

This was Maisie and Rembrandts first stallion show together and both had a ball. Rembrandt made lots of new friends in the meet and greet in the stables and really enjoyed putting on their show in the International arena. This is a new stallion show and needs more support,  it was so relaxed and friendly. Some superb stallions and breeders supported it and some new and exciting ones also. There was something for everyone to enjoy on both days, masterclasses during the lunch breaks and a free jumping competition on the Saturday evening. Sadly the freestyle dressage competition was cancelled due to lack of entries, which Maisie was dissapointed to miss out on but hopefully next year it will go ahead.

Rembrandt getting very excited after his round of applause bless him!

Maisie and Hot Chocolate enjoying the snow after a good first Junior test riding session!

After a successful first trip to Squad training and test riding for Jennie Lorriston Clarke, Maisie and Hot Chocolate enjoy schooling in the snow.Maisie and Hot Chocolate earned their ticket to compete Internationally gaining a 71%+ score in test riding and stayed on at Vale View on the Sunday to do the 2 Advance Mediums gaining nice scores HC as we cannot compete until March due to importing Chocci and her points, but most importantly gaining that vital arena time that all new partnerships need. Vale View as usual put on a great show in difficult weather, freezing fog and – temperatures and judges kindly mixed up classes due to withdrawels due to competitors being unable to travel.

All at ninegates farm worked hard the last few days to cover the arena so the snow did not stop play and they succeded.

Rembrandt was on top form enjoying being out in the snow schooling with all his pals and HC took it all in her stride too.

Having been entered for Addington High Profile this weekend it was a shame that it was cancelled due to bad weather as the venue and competitors had all worked hard to get there and keep it going, covering arenas and harrowing every 2 hrs but mother nature prevailed and snow won. So back to stretching and schooling and just ticking over until the next outing.
