Another International and consistent results in beautiful Compiegne

Photo courtesy of Astrid Appels Eurodressage we love this shot!! this is Compiegne in a nutshell, crowd appreciation and Maisie appreciating the crowd 🙂

As usual with Compiegne the showground looked amazing and you really feel special competing there.

Great Britain had some great riders out there and they all supported each other and shared the good bits and the not so good. Real GBR spirit.

Michael and Maria Eilberg, Gareth and Rebecca Hughes, Gemma Green,  Andrew Gould and Dan Sheriff all with family support be it wives, sisters, mums, partners all play a huge part in making this a very special show.

Pony riders included Maisie and Rembrandt, Erin and Dynasty,Phoebe and Lucci and Harriete and Madams Miss Maria all with families and trainers in tow.  Team trainer Peter Storr, John Robinson (selector) and fab chef de equippe Liz Mills made it a great gang.

Hot weather on team test day and big entries made for a very long day. Phoebe, Erin and Harriet were all drawn early in the class within 20 mins of each other!! leaving Maisie hanging on until 4pm. A huge lunch break of 2 hrs made it seem longer.

All girls put in solid performances with mistakes and maybe rode too safely but results were good.   Maisie and Rembrandt gaining 4th place in both the team and the individual and scoring 69% + both days. Then gaining a 5th in the kur with 72.9 again Maisie rode too safely for real power but a clean test in good company.

Compiegne is always a treat and we hope to return again soon. We travel home to our final selection competition at Wellington Premier League fingers crossed.
